Sharon Moore
Sharon Moore is a semi-retired registered nurse. Sharon worked for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma as director over the Diabetes Wellness Center. This program is grant-funded and led to her becoming a grant writer for the Choctaw Nation until her retirement.
At age 65, Sharon had cataract surgery and a few years later had YAG laser surgery after noticing a blurring of vision. Sharon was diagnosed with dry age-related macular degeneration in 2014 and with a chronic dry eye two years later.
Today Sharon stays active as an advocate and writer for the macular degeneration and chronic dry eye communities with Health Union. She enjoys sewing and reading, her favorite hobbies.
