Dry Eye Awareness Month 2022: Advocating for Better Access to Treatments

July marks Dry Eye Awareness Month! Chronic dry eye impacts nearly 16.5 million adults in the United States. It’s important to note that it is often misdiagnosed and underdiagnosed. Many people with chronic dry eye also battle other conditions. Getting diagnosed and then managing chronic dry eye often is a frustrating and confusing experience.

As a result, this year's theme, Advocating for Access to Dry Eye Treatments, aims to illuminate barriers – as well as opportunities – to receiving better dry eye treatment.

Below are tools for raising awareness about life with chronic dry eye and ways to connect with others.
