My Dry Eye Heating Mask

In this video I talk about a new eye mask that I have found works really not just in temperature but also for traveling. Dry eye heating masks are important, because they can help liquify the oil in your meibomian glands, thus giving your eyes a needed refresher. It can be hard when traveling to find the resources you need, such as a microwave, for your dry eye toolkit.

I didn't catch the name, can you share it or a link to it? I've had several microwavable masks sitting in my Amazon wish list for a long time but I haven't purchased them because I just don't see myself actually using them (two story house, young kids, not a lot of time, etc etc). But I definitely want to try something that could help the oil in my meibomian glands because I'm making tears, they are just poor quality. Thanks for the video! -Ava, CDE team

This dry eye mask sounds amazing! I also use the Bruder compress daily but find it difficult to take places. I am going to add this to my shopping list. What is it called?

Hi Amanda, I know you from the other boards on Facebook. I’ve been using this mask for about a year on medium high. I don’t use it daily because I’m just not a fan of heated masks however, the other day when I used it for 10 minutes on medium high I felt like I couldn’t open my eyes like they were glued shut. I tried it again later on in the evening after two minutes had to take it off because I had the same feeling which of course then turned into anxiety has this ever happened to you and do you know why this could’ve happened?

I have been suffering with dry eyes for almost 6 years. It has gotten so bad that I was not a le to watch TV or drive. I tried every drop on the market and did every treatment including lipiflow. Nothing really helped me. My daughter got me a Wizard electric heated eye mask and my life has changed. I only used it for one week and I am back to driving and watching TV I felt that I had to share this with the world.
