Tips For Staying Positive

What tips do you have for others to adopt a positive mindset to make living with dry eye a little easier?

    1. Thank you for asking this question. Normally it is easy to focus on the pain. How can we not right? But looking for that silver lining is so important and can help our mental health so much.

      1. I make sure to schedule enough time per day to just spend time by myself. It helps me to stay in tune with myself and my health needs and gives me the opportunity to enrich my mind by engaging in hobbies I enjoy (like reading, writing, knitting, etc). This helps me stay more positive and so I don't feel overwhelmed by the near-constant difficulties of having dry eyes.

        1. Use quality fish oils for omega 3s. Use sun glasses regularly. If you need prescription eye glasses, get them. Look into light therapy although it's ridiculously & unnecessarily expensive. This should be in every clinic for patients use w/ insurance.
