My Life Nemesis

I was diagnosed with dry eye syndrome a couple of years ago.

How I manage chronic dry eye

I use prescription eye drops, over-the-counter eye drops, plus a self-heating steam eye mask nightly (sometimes two a night as they are single-use masks).

If I am still having issues I switch to a cold compress under my regular sleep mask.

Dry eye flares

It is an ongoing challenge when I have a flare-up.

Also, the red eyes where people will tell me my eyes are very red.

I no longer can wear my contacts as my ophthalmologist states it would be too painful.

Such is the daily life of a “dry eye” patient.
