Cleaning Eyelids

In this video ( https://chronicdryeye.net/video/nulids-device ), Amanda shows how she uses an at-home device called NuLids to clean her eyelids. Have questions for her? Share them here!

  1. Happy to answer any question somebody might have!

    1. Hi Amanda, how long after starting to use the device did you notice a difference with your dry eyes. I recently bought Nulids and it has been a little over a week and so far I haven't seen a huge difference, but I am going to continue using it in the hopes that I will. Thanks for answering.

      1. thank you for asking! It took a few months to see a difference. The main thing I noticed was my eyelids weren’t as itchy. Also, it helps decrease your chances of blepharitis and Demodex mites. I hope this helps.

    2. Thanks for the reply, it does help. I have been using the Nulids for about 3 weeks and I do like the way that it feels. I also have something called Zocushield, which is an advanced eye gel that has really helped my problem a lot, as well as warm compresses twice daily. The only challenging thing about the Nulids is I really do not want to spend the money on new tips every month, so I am thinking of soaking the tips in hydrogen peroxide to disinfect them instead in order to reuse, but even that, I am a little hesitant about. I don't want to get an eye infection. It is possible that after using up the first month's tips that I may discontinue using Nulids if I find that the Zocushield alone is still working for me. I like how the Nulids feels and no doubt I am sure as a person continues using, it does help, but the cost of new tips could be prohibitive for me.
