Hi, I'm suspicious that my severe dry eye got considerably worse after changing onto new HRT medication - Oestrogel and Utrogestan.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Have you spoken with your doctor about it? Perhaps a change could be made to a medication less drying to the eyes.

Thanks Sharon. I've researched a fair bit myself and there is some suggestion that it can cause dry eye but also some evidence that in some cases it helps (as dry eye can be a menopause symptom anyway). I can't find any information on specific kinds of HRT though and which kinds might be more likely to cause it. My GP is uninformed and unconvinced of my theory and my corneal consult says that it can be explored as a last resort if nothing else works. I've had antibiotics, vitamin A night cream, artificial tears, steroid drops and punctal plugs so far but not helped at all. Next and last step (I thinkI'mexpensive
