Check up appointments

Is there anything you personally do to prepare for your appointments with your eye doctor? (Whether it's physically or just mentally)

Have my yearly check up tomorrow and just curious to hear other's experiences and thoughts 😀

  1. I haven't done this yet, since I haven't had another appointment with my optometrist since I got diagnosed last summer. But I plan on making a list of questions on my notes app on my phone that I can ask in person. This note can also contain any concerns or worries I have about the current treatment plan. Writing down things before an appointment helps me feel more prepared. I hope your appointment goes well!

    1. thank you so much! I wrote down my couple questions, thanks for the reminder as I always forget to do that! ๐Ÿ˜†

  2. I recently wrote an article about making the most of your visit to the doctor. https://chronicdryeye.net/living/doctor-visit-tips

  3. it seems we all write down questions. I used to write mine on paper, and believe it or not, as I was preparing the list, after each question I would draw a little tick box and write "yes" or "no" beside each box. This is because the doctor sometimes answers my questions so quickly I don't get time to write her answer. I even went so far as to have a box for "maybe" but then I had to remember why the answer was a "maybe" ! Wendy, Advocate.

    1. That's a good idea! They really do talk fast a lot of the time, huh? 😁
