Moisture chamber glasses

Has anything tried moisture chamber glasses? And if yes how much did they help?

  1. Hi . Here is a video about one health leader's experience with them: https://chronicdryeye.net/living/moisture-chamber-glasses. They can be pretty expensive, so you might want to talk to your ophthalmologist about it before buying them. I hope you get some good input from others in the community here. Best wishes. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. thanks for responding. Can I try safety goggles over my prescription glasses as moisture chamber glasses? Also how much time after wearing moisture chamber glasses did people see effect?

    2. Hi . I wish I had answers to that question. One of the biggest providers is a company called Ziena. You could call their customer service number and ask. Here is a link to the website: https://www.zienaeyewear.com/. You will find a phone number at the bottom of the page. - Lori (Team Member)

  2. I have outdoor prescription moisture chamber sunglasses from "7eye by panoptx"- just Google this or 7eye.com . They manage Ziena too. Clear lenses, sunglasses, prescription or not, they will help you get the size you need, really helpful.

    For night moisture glasses see:

These are the only ones I could find that did not dent my face and allowed me to see. I spray a bit of water in the eye cups and they have saved me at night for dry eye. I have a narrow, female face and these can tighten well.

    1. Dry eye then MGD diagnosed after Cataract surgery 2 yrs ago. What triggers my symptoms is all 3 tear ingredients are compromised - aqueous, evaporative and lipid base ingredients. Sacramento dry hot weather and wind are main causes of discomfort to corneas. Problem is getting treatment for the meiobian glands so they do not get more chronic and clogged. Once blocked up they don’t recover so they need early treatment…which is problematic. Lipiflow does thermal heat and pulsation so any input is helpful.

    2. I hope people chime in. I will share your forum on Facebook as well, so maybe it will pull in more responses. How awesome if it is effective given that no medications are involved. - Lori (Team Member)
