Low Level Light Therapy

I have just had the second of three LllT sessions and will be having the third one this week, followed by Lipiflow. So far no improvement but my eye doctor says to stay hopeful because usually don’t see improvement until all of these are done. Please share any thoughts or experiences with this that any of you may have had. Thank you!

  1. Hi thank you for sharing with us! Trying new treatments often feels like an exercise in patience as you wait to see if the new approach will be helpful. One of our patient leaders wrote about her experience trying low level light therapy for dry eye that I thought you might like to read: https://chronicdryeye.net/living/low-level-light

We also have several articles that mention LipiFlow, though the articles themselves are not exclusively on that topic!

    1. thank you so much for the information and encouraging words.!!!

  2. I appreciate you sharing your journey with LllT and Lipiflow. It's encouraging that your eye doctor advises staying hopeful, as improvement may take time. Patience is often key in these processes. I haven't personally undergone these treatments, but I'm sending positive vibes your way for a successful outcome. Contact with best doctor. If anyone else has experiences to share, I'm sure it would be helpful. Wishing you the best on your upcoming third session and with Lipiflow!

    1. Have you tried The Q LED light device?

      1. Hi , thank you for joining the conversation! One of our patient leaders shared a video article about her use of the quantum (Q) device! It seems to be a tool that helps her with chronic dry eye symptoms. I thought you, or others reading this forum, might find it of interest. https://chronicdryeye.net/video/quantum-device

    2. Thanks, I did see that! It started my search for the device. I saw it for sale one place for $500. I have a lot of red light LED devices I'm accumulated over the years. I use one today that I can set for Fast Pulse. My left eye has been really killing me. The same old story, had it for years, tried every allopathic and holistic eye drop and supplement on the market. Currently taking NAC since I read it can help (on an empty stomach) and going back to Black Current Seed pills. The fish oil ones didn't do much. I constantly feel like I'm standing downwind from a smoking beach fire. I feel fine when I wake up but a couple hours later it sets in. Have annual comprehensive eye exams.
