My doctor changed my eye drops

I was aware they had changed but assumed it was just a new brand name of the same drops. I have been struggling to read and the corners of my eyes turned scabby and red. Long story short, a pharmacist and optician told me the new drops are not as good. My doctor says it is the same active ingredient. My own research suggests that all the other ingredients could be different and or in different quantities. Any advice how to proceed to get back to Hylo Forte or the nearest drops to it. What is the main difference, thanks
