Chronic Dry Eye and Me

I was diagnosed with chronic dry eye after having numerous surgeries to correct the mess that the doctor made while attempting to do Lasik surgery on my eyes. The constant laser treatments that failed and eventual sewing of my cornea back down started the process and then more laser treatments to clean up that mess kept it getting worse. I have had cataract surgery and am now on three different prescription eye drops and Systane over the counter drops. The pain, burning and constantly running water that I suffer from is so miserable that life is hard. Driving at night and bright lights makes things worse. Any suggestions are welcomed

  1. Your story makes me so glad that I said no in no uncertain terms to have that procedure. I have had dry eyes for 45 years or more. I found out when I tried to wear contacts. I was told the procedure you had would correct my astigmatism and I bluntly said no, I will wear my glasses. I believe my dry eyes to be caused by taking diuretics for mild high blood pressure issues.
