to be honest it has been trial and error. Years ago I was told I had dry eyes and I couldn't wear contacts. But no one explained to me why, or how to help it. I ended up doing my own research and trying different things. Frustration let me to find my on solutions. I am a veteran and the VA does an actual better job of explaining things than the private sector doctors. I will be getting tear duct plugs on the 11th of April, my wife has them and says they really help. And some of my research says that it may also help my sinus issues and I seem to have a lot of drainage that could possibly be due to my eyes draining down through my tear duct so much. I really notice it when I use the eye drops.
My recommendation is not just take anyone's word for things not even your doctors do your own research and always ask for second opinions.
