Symptoms

We want to hear from you. Have your dry eye symptoms gotten better, worse, or stayed the same over the past year?

  1. I consider my dry eye symptoms slightly improved. I am using eye drops made from my own blood. There is a name for this type of drop, but I am not sure what it is. I have trouble remembering to use them as often as recommended. (Every two hours.) My doctor says my corneas look better.

    1. Yes a ridiculous price, my husband insisted I try them. I have been using the same vial 12 hours apart instead of using two vials a day, which at least doubles the amount that I have to use. That isn’t the way they are supposed to be used but…..

And yes, for the most part in the last couple of weeks I’ve had days when my eyes almost feel normal.

    2. I'm glad to hear that you know what works best for you! Wishing you the best, Lauren (Team member)

  2. I finally figured out that my CPAP was leaking into my eyes while I slept. For many years. I finally tried taping Glad Cling Wrap over my eyes and that really helped give them time to heal. My eyes even weap more often now.
I now use a good pair of swim goggles 5 out of 7 night. I have not had a dry eye problems in about 6 months.
I don't know how well this problem is talked about.

    1. I'm glad that you were able to solve your problem with goggles and cling wrap. Have you had a chance to check in with your cpap prescriber to discuss the seal around your mask? Ideally it shouldn't leak air. Just a thought! All the best, Lauren (team member)

  3. My dry eyes are not as bad as this time last year. I now have tear duct plugs, and a set routine of eye drops. Refresh gel, and Refresh PM ornament. My only complaint is the gritty feelings I walk up with.

    1. Hi Chuck, thanks for chiming in. I'm glad to hear that overall your dry eyes are better than last year. Out of curiosity, how long to your eyes feel gritty each morning? Thanks for sharing. -Lauren (Team member)
